When you get a system error window telling that a DLL file is missing, the following questions arise: what is its purpose?

DLL files have a fundamental purpose, to reduce code and increase computer performance. A DLL file is a dynamic library that is used by all applications.

Errors may occur on a Windows PC that is associated with DLL files. These errors prevent the user from running his required programs. DLL files are considered in most usage operations to be the main factor in errors when Windows starts up and runs. A DLL file does not need to be edited because it can cause new problems that will affect many programs with other DLL files.

DLL files in older versions of Windows

Older versions of Windows, where each running process had one extensive task area, required one copy of DLL code.
